In the summer of 2009, the Chicago Bears Football Club, Incorporated came to us with an idea for a custom inflatable player entrance tunnel. With over 28 years of designing and constructing entrance tunnels for high schools, colleges, and professional sports teams – we were ready for the challenge. The marketing team of the Chicago Bears provided us with a 2 dimensional image of their logo. From their logo, Inflatable Images was able to create a 3 dimensional scale model of the team mascot and jersey. The jersey was digitally printed to match Chicago Bears colors and contains the “GSH” logo on the left sleeve in honor of George S. Hales, original founder, player and coach of the Chicago Bears. The body and face of the bear was airbrushed by hand for a more detailed and realistic effect. The overall dimensions of the tunnel were 23’ h x 30’ w x 30’ l when completed. Inflatable Images went to Soldier Field for an initial site survey and back again for an instructional step by step inflation installation. The Chicago Bears were very pleased with their custom shape and have used the player entrance tunnel at home games throughout the season.
